As a urologist, you'll investigate, treat and help to manage conditions relating to the bladder, urethra and prostate, and male reproductive organs. You'll work with all kinds of patients, from those with prostate cancer to people experiencing temporary problems with incontinence. Urology mainly focuses on diagnosing and treatment of diseases concerning the urinary system. The major function of the urinary system is to keep the body clean and filter out toxins and wastes from the body. Adrenal glands - These glands release hormones and are located on top of each kidney.

Urology is a branch of medicine that deals with health issues of the male and female urinary tract, and the male reproductive system. A urologist is a doctor that focuses on these parts of the body. The urinary tract is a pathway made up of the kidneys, ureters, bladder and urethra.
